FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ignition Sequence: SDCC– Debut Creator-Owned Series From Power Girl Duo Los Angeles, CA (June 18th, 2025) –Ignition Press proudly revealed today that the second comic series in its upcoming 2025 publishing slate will be the erotic fine art heist Voyeur by the Power Girl team of Leah Williams (X-Factor, Gotham City Sirens) and David Baldeón (Domino, Harley
Quinn).
As head of security at the upscale Thai resort Koh Kingfisher, Rook has access to absolutely everything. From his office, he can punch into any closed-circuit camera on the island and see what all the guests are up to—and trust us, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought.
When Madeline arrives, she instantly captures Rook’s attention—and she just as quickly catches on to his game. Madeline not only picks up on the fact that he’s spying on her, but when she confronts him about his little hobby, she realizes he’s not exactly who he says he is. She knows Rook is at the resort to rob it of all its valuable art, and Madeline wants in.
“I’ve spent nearly eight years writing cape comics for Marvel and DC. Before that, I spent years anonymously writing fan fiction on AO3 and Wattpad. Before that I was in film school. Voyeur unifies these skillsets,” said writer Leah Williams.
Voyeur reunites writer Leah Williams and artist David Baldeón, the pair behind DC’s hit Power Girl series, for their first creator-owned series. The creative team is rounded out by colorist Eva de la Cruz and lettering studio AndWorld Design. The sophomore release from Ignition Press,
Voyeur is a steamy fine art heist thriller set against the backdrop of the vacation resort of the
ultra-elite that will leave you panting for more. “Voyeur is for me an embarrassment of riches: a very sought-after change of tone and tale; a
challenge in almost every aspect of comic making as I’ve practiced it for years; a whole new course as an artist, treading on grounds that I love as a fan; an adventure with the most fantastic of partnerships in every front of its creation,” added artist David Baldeón. “But most of all, Voyeur is an absolute joy of a book to make and I’m both hoping and absolutely sure it shows.”
Voyeur #1 will feature two open-to-order covers by Paulina Ganucheau (Zodiac Starforce!, Wonder Woman) and Emanuela Lupacchino (Supergirl , Starfire) . Additionally, retail partners will have access to a limited-edition variant by award-winning artist Yanick Paquette (Batman, Wonder Woman: Earth One). The erotic heist series is slated for five issues with the first issue releasing on September 10, 2025. Copies of Voyeur #1 will be available for order through Penguin Random House Publisher Services (PRHPS) for retail partners. “We use the word ‘unlock’ a lot around here at Ignition Press, and a book like Voyeur inspires me to use it in the best way. It’s amazing to see two talents like David and Leah unlock their potential, to unlock their voice, and do something on the page we’ve never seen them do but always imagined they could. Voyeur is such a huge step forward for both of them as storytellers, it immediately makes you excited not just for the comic in your hands, but for what’s coming next,” said Ignition Press Editor-in-Chief Jamie S. Rich.
