Ignition Press’s Debut Comic Gets a Second Printing to Meet Demand

Los Angeles, CA (September 16th, 2025) –Ignition Press is excited to announce that their debut comic Murder Podcast #1 from Jeremy Haun (The Beauty, The Red Mother) and Mike Tisserand (The Dragon Prince, Diary of a Wimpy Kid) has sold out at the distributor level within 24 hours of release despite a healthy overprint, and will get a second printing with a new cover to meet customer demand.

Interested fans can guarantee their copy by preordering at their local comic shop by Monday, September 22nd. To locate a store near them, fans can head to findyourcomic.store.

“We’ve had an absolutely fantastic time making Murder Podcast. Easily one of the best of my career,” said writer Jeremy Haun. “There's no predicting if a project is going to hit. Having our fun little murder book connect with so many people and sell out right out the gate is a perfect bit of icing on this creative cake. I'm so grateful to my creative partners, Mike Tisserand, Nick Filardi, and Andworld Design, the whole Ignition Press team, and all of you for making Murder Podcast such a...killer success.”

“I hope store owners can keep these rabid fans at bay until the second printing hits shelves,” said artist Mike Tisserand. “Stay safe nerds—hide your Murder Podcast until the masses get their copies. Relief is on the way.”

Fans of true crime podcasts are noticing brand-new episodes of a show they thought was over appearing in their feed, but when they cue up the first episode, they find themselves overtaken by a murderous urge. One that only stops when the killer is stopped, leaving a gruesome death toll in its wake. For Mina and her friends, these killings are just another topic of their daily gossip, a potential new case for the next true crime show they can’t get enough of. Yet, as the killings get closer and closer to their own lives, it’s becoming clear that there is more going on below the surface than any of them realizes.

Written by Jeremy Haun, co-creator of The Beauty, soon to be a prestige FX television series from Ryan Murphy, with art by animation veteran and comics’ next superstar Mike Tisserand, colors by Nick Filardi, and letters by AndWorld Design, this debut Ignition Press title will make you think twice the next time you fire up those ear buds and press play on your phone.

“We were thrilled with the advance support we received from our retail partners for Murder Podcast through their orders and overprinted to ensure copies would be available for reorders,” said Ignition Press Publisher Filip Sablik. “We were doubly grateful when we saw that translate into enthusiasm from readers for the amazing story Jeremy, Mike, Nick, and AndWorld have created, scooping up copies in stores, and driving an organic second printing in less than 24 hours!”

Copies of Murder Podcast #1 first printings featuring two open-to-order covers by Haun and Tisserand respectively, with the latter forming a connecting image across multiple covers, and. the limited-edition variant by illustrator and sculptor Ebrahel Lurci (The Solstice of Shadows, Strange, Very Strange) may still be available at individual stores. The second printing of the debut issue of the true crime horror series will arrive in stores October 29, 2025 alongside the return of The Beauty, also by Jeremy Haun
